National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh has developed the Janmanrega Mobile App for the Ministry of Rural Development, India. Janmanrega has been developed with collaboration between the MoRD, National Informatics Centre (NIC) and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC, Hyderabad). Janmanrega is tool to get feedback on MGNREGA assets from citizens. Janmanrega allows locating already geotagged more than 1.78 crore Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme s (MGNREGS) Assets within Indian Space Research Organisation s (ISRO) Bhuvan Map Interface along with their attributes. The app is available on Play Store free of cost.
Permission used by this App:
- Internet: The app uses device internet connection to fetch the data.
- Network State: The app uses device location to show the near by assets w.r.t. user location.
- Location: The app uses device location to show the near by assets w.r.t. user location.
- Contacts: The app uses Contacts permission to fetch the device contacts for referring the app to other users.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
The app captures users Mobile Number, Name, Address and other details. The Department retains the user provided data. This information can be used by registered user.
Misuse by Non Targeted Users
Mobile App is meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile device.
